Cry "Weapons Smuggling!" And Let Slip The Dogs Of Deception

The recent alleged discovery by Israel of a boatload of "Iranian weapons destined for Syria and Hizb'allah" is designed to distract from growing global public awareness that Israel is a terrorist state guilty of the most despicable war crimes.

The UN fact finding mission on the Israeli attack on Gaza from Dec 27th 2008 to Jan 18th 2009, aka "The Goldstone Report" was released on September 15th 2009. Initially the scope of the investigation was limited to violations of international and human rights law by Israeli forces alone. The official wording was:
to dispatch an urgent, independent international fact-finding mission, to be appointed by the President of the Council, to investigate all violations of international human rights law and international humanitarian law by the occupying Power, Israel, against the Palestinian people throughout the Occupied Palestinian Territory, particularly in the occupied Gaza Strip, due to the current aggression, and calls upon Israel not to obstruct the process of investigation and to fully cooperate with the mission.
Given that it was patently obvious to the entire planet (or most of it) that Israel unilaterally bombed the hell out of the Gazan population for over three weeks killing 1000 civilians, among them 400 children, (4 Israeli civilians were killed) the above wording seemed reasonable. But Israel has never paid much attention to what the world thinks or knows, and even after the scope was expanded to include:
all violations of international human rights law and international humanitarian law that might have been committed at any time in the context of the military operations that were conducted in Gaza during the period from 27 December 2008 and 18 January 2009, whether before, during or after.
Israel still balked and refused to co-operate with the investigative team, blocking their entrance to Gaza from Israel. Even the appointment of South African judge Richard Goldstone, a devout Jew and fervent defender of Israel's "right to peace and security", to head the investigation was not enough for the Zionist zealots.

Judge Richard Goldstone defending his report that condemns Israeli war crimes in Palestine

What the Israeli government seemed incapable of grasping was that the result of the investigation would be determined not a priori by its statement of mandate but a posteriori by the evidence. Israeli officials had full freedom to present their case before the investigative team. The problem of course is that when it comes to objective data and the truth about the Israel/Palestine conflict, the Israeli government's arguments consistently collapse into defenseive mode.

When all the deputations and depositions had been heard, the report was released. It's main finding was that:
the Israel Defence Force (IDF) and Palestinian armed groups committed war crimes and possibly crimes against humanity. While the report condemned violations by both sides, it more strongly criticized Israeli actions.
The details of these "war crimes" by both the IDF and Palestinian armed groups were:

Blockade of Gaza allegations

The Israeli military action was directed at the Gaza population as a whole. The Gaza blockade represents the continuance of an overall policy of disproportionate force aimed at collective punishment. The report read, "Families are still living amid the rubble of their former homes after the attacks ended, as reconstruction has been impossible due to the continuing blockade (of Gaza by Israel)".

Civilian targeting allegations

The report disputed Israel's claim that the Gaza war was conducted in response to rockets fired from the Gaza Strip, saying that the war was targeted against the "people of Gaza as a whole." The report exact words were that Israel's military assault on Gaza was designed to "humiliate and terrorize a civilian population, radically diminish its local economic capacity both to work and to provide for itself, and to force upon it an ever increasing sense of dependency and vulnerability".

Al-Maqadmah mosque incident

In the incident, the report stated that the Israelis intentionally bombed the al-Maqadmah mosque on the outskirts of Jabilyah when between two and three hundred men and women were inside during evening prayers, killing fifteen of them. Goldstone said, "Assuming that weapons were stored in the mosque, it would not be a war crime to bomb it at night... It would be a war crime to bomb it during the day when 350 people are praying".

The report focused on 36 cases that it said constituted a representative sample. In 11 of these episodes, it said the Israeli military carried out direct attacks against civilians, including some in which civilians were shot "while they were trying to leave their homes to walk to a safer place, waving white flags". According to the report, other alleged war crimes committed by the IDF included the "wanton" destruction of food production, water and sewerage facilities. The report also asserts that some attacks, which were supposedly aimed to kill small numbers of combatants amidst significant numbers of civilians, were disproportionate.

The report concluded that Israel violated the Fourth Geneva Convention by targeting civilians, which it labeled "a grave breach".

Zeytoun incident

According to the investigation by the mission members, based on interviews with family members, neighbors, Palestinian Red Crescent personnel, submissions from various NGOs and visits to the site, a hundred members of the extended al-Samouni family were gathered together in one house after the fighting in the area was over, ordered there by Israeli soldiers patrolling their Gaza neighborhood of Zeytoun as part of the ground phase of the Gaza War. When five men stepped out of the house to collect firewood, a missile hit them - fired, possibly, from an Apache helicopter. Several more missiles followed, this time aimed directly at the house. In all, 21 family members were killed, including women and children. When the surviving al-Samounis attempted to leave and make their way to Gaza City, they were told by an Israeli soldier to return to the house.

Al-Fakhura school incident

The report says that IDF's mortar shelling near the United Nations-run Al-Fakhura school in the Jabaliya refugee camp, which was sheltering some 1300 people, killed 35 and wounded up to 40 people. The investigation did not exclude the possibility that Israeli forces were responding to fire from an armed Palestinian group, as Israel claimed, but said that this and similar attacks "cannot meet the test of what a reasonable commander would have determined to be an acceptable loss of civilian life for the military advantage sought". The mission criticized IDF for the choice of weapons for the supposed counterstrike and concluded that the IDF strike at the Al-Fakhura street violated the law of proportionality.

White phosphorus allegations

The report found that Israeli forces had been systematically reckless in their use of white phosphorus. Its authors highlighted the Israeli attack on the UN Relief and Works Agency compound in Gaza City on 15 January, the attack on the Al Quds hospital, and the attack on the Al Wafa hospital, each of which involved the use of white phosphorus. They described its use as disproportionate or excessive under international law. More generally, the UN report recommended that "serious consideration should be given to banning the use of white phosphorus in built-up areas."

Human shields allegations

The report also accused Israel of using Palestinians as "human shields" and torturing detainees. These barbaric practices are not unique to the Gaza war, but this is the first time Israel has been formally cited for such behaviour. The revolting irony here is that Israel explained away the high number of civilian casualties by accusing the Palestinian armed groups of using the population as "human shields."

I'll stop there. Naturally there were many more incidents where Israeli forces deliberately targeted and murdered civilians on the way to reaching the total of at least 1000 dead, but the above gives a general idea of the way the IDF troops and air force conducted themselves.

Of course, It would not be in keeping with the (revised ) mandate and scope of the investigation if I left out the details of those "war crimes" committed by Palestinian armed groups. So here they are, or rather here it is:
The report also stated there is evidence that Palestinian armed groups committed war crimes and possibly crimes against humanity by deliberately launching rockets and firing mortars into Israel, calculated to kill civilians and damage civilian structures. The report accused Palestinian armed groups of causing psychological trauma to the civilians within the range of the rockets. It also concluded that killings and abuses of members of the Fatah political movement amount to a "serious violation of human rights."
That's it, one paragraph. Four Israeli civilians killed by wayward sugar-fueled rockets apparently amounts to joint complicity by Palestinian groups in war crimes. Sounds rather one-sided, does it not? Even so, Israel was not happy with the final report or the fact that on October 15th the UNHRC endorsed it, a move that may send it on to more powerful UN bodies, like the Security Council, for their consideration. Israeli President Shimon Peres said:
"[the report] makes a mockery of history, it does not distinguish between the aggressor and the defender. War is crime and the attacker is the criminal. The defender has no choice. The Hamas terror organization is the one who started the war and also carried out other awful crimes."
Of course, Perez and his ilk would say such things, because lying comes naturally to them. The reality is that, as even Israeli daily newspaper Haartez reported, the attack on Gaza was planned by the Israeli government six months in advance.To kick off proceedings, the Israeli government broke a five-month-long ceasefire with Hamas by assassinating six Hamas officials in Gaza six weeks prior to the attack on November 4th 2008, and then used Hamas's response to justify the attack in December.

True to form, on November 3rd, the US House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed resolution H. Res. 867 (344 for-36 against), calling the report "irredeemably biased and unworthy of further consideration or legitimacy." And yes, lies come naturally to the majority of members of Congress too, just in case you were wondering.

The Israeli and US complaints notwithstanding, a majority of European nations welcomed the report and it's findings, with even the French and British governments supporting its findings.

Of course, it would not be in keeping with the duplicitous nature of either the Israeli or American governments to take a slap from world opinion lying down. And so, right on cue, like the proverbial bolt from the blue, on November 4th, one day after the Congressional resolution condemning the UN report, Israeli forces just happened to detain, with the help of US intelligence, what they said was a cargo ship loaded with Iranian weapons destined for Syria and Hizb'allah.

Antigua-flagged Francop on it's way to the Israeli port of Ashdod

Is the fact that this weapons haul happened on the same day that the UN was considering the Goldstone report just an amazing coincidence? Or is it just pure luck? What we can say for sure is that the discovery of a boatload of "Iranian weapons" and the wonderful photo op for the Western media that it provided, was perfectly tailored to distract attention from the damning Goldstone report and refocus it on the US/Israeli message that Iran and Syria and Hizb'allah, and by implication the Palestinian people, are the real problem in the Middle East.

The Israeli ambassador to the U.N. wasted no time in complaining to the United Nations on Thursday that this was "an Iranian attempt to skirt a U.N. arms embargo and supply weapons to the Lebanese guerrilla group Hezbollah."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu got in on the act and made it abundantly clear what his point was:
"This is a war crime that the General Assembly meeting today should investigate and discuss," Netanyahu told reporters in Tel Aviv. "It is a war crime that the UN Security Council should have a special meeting over. It explicitly violates Security Council decisions."

"It is a war crime that we know the Iranian regime intended for Hizbullah to carry out after they already fired thousands of rockets at our communities. This is what the international community should focus on especially today," he added.
I believe his point was to stress that this was a "war crime" and - somewhat more subtly - hint that two can play the U.N. game. Of course, the only difference between Netanyahu's "war crime" claim and the Goldstone report is that the Goldstone report is based on objective data while Netanyahu's "boatload of Iranian weapons" evidence bears all the hallmarks of a Mossad operation. In truth, unless he is lying (very possible) Netanyahu seems a little confused about what constitutes a war crime.

Netanyahu and Obama joke about the definition of "war crime"
A shipment of weapons to Hizb'allah is not a "war crime". It is a shipment of weapons that has not even reached its destination, and in the case of the Francop, never will. For a more precise understanding of what a war crime is, the Israeli Prime Minister should look back over some of the military video of "Operation Cast Lead" earlier this year when his stormtroopers bombed schools and hosptials and refugee camps in Palestine.

Israeli government sources claimed that cargo certificates showed the Francop had sailed from Iran and was bound for Syria, from where the weapons would be transferred to Hezbollah in Lebanon. For some unknown reason however, the Israeli military refused to show the documents that would confirm this.

A UNIFIL (UN Interim Force In Lebanon) spokesman said the group considered the charge the weapons were destined for Hezbollah as yet "unproven."

An official with Cyprus-based United Feeder Services told Reuters it had acted as the time charterer and carrier for the Francop, charged with loading and discharging the vessel.

Come one come all! Francop weapons on display for the world to see in Israel

"The vessel sailed from Damietta (Egypt), and was bound for Limassol, Cyprus and then Lebanon, Turkey and back to Damietta," the official, who declined to be named, said.

"We are not allowed to open up containers to see what is inside," he said. "We do not have much information. We just know that the vessel was seized and was forced to go to Ashdod to check the cargo."
Given that the Israeli government refused to provide the damning cargo certificates that would corroborate their claim that the ship had sailed from Iran, we must assume that they are lying and that the ship and cargo began its journey in Damietta, Egypt.

IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi (himself a war criminal) said yesterday that the capture of the Francop was part of an extensive battle.

Speaking at the Kirya army base, he said, "I would like to express my appreciation to the navy men and to the Mossad men. Without them the intelligence would not have been this accurate."

The fact that the Mossad was involved simply serves to increase suspicion that we are dealing with deception and fantasy rather than reality when it comes to the origin of this particular boat load of weapons.

While Israeli officials have stated that the weapons on board were "Iranian made", the truth is somewhat different. Writing on several of the boxes is in Spanish ('disparos', 'espoleta') and describes American made anti-tank weapons (CSR 106 M40). Correct me if I am mistaken, but last time I checked the official language of Iran was Persian, and in Syria and Lebanon they generally speak Arabic. And Iran doesn't make Spanish versions of the US 1960-70s era M40. The largest rockets in the shipment were 122-millimeter Katyushas, which have a range of about 20 miles. Compared to the Israeli arsenal of US made fighter planes, tanks and war ships, not to mention hundreds of nuclear weapons, the Francop appears to have been carrying a cargo of 320 tons of aging weapons that are of little threat to anyone, let alone Israel.

Since the discovery, Hezbollah has staunchly denied any link to the weapons seized from the Francop.

Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, in a joint press conference with his Syrian counterpart Walid Muallem, dismissed the Israeli allegations out of hand and stated that the ship was not carrying Iranian-made weaponry for Syria or Lebanon, but was in fact "carrying Syrian-made items for consumption in Iran."

The closest approximation to the truth that can be gleaned here is that either Iran had sold the weapons to Syria, or Syria had sold the weapons to Iran. Either way, there is nothing unlawful about the shipment if we consider the reality of the international arms trade. The white phosphorus that Israel used against Palestinian civilians in Janurary this year was manufactured and sold by the USA. Ten times the amount allegedly snared by the Mossad and the Israeli Navy aboard the Francop was delivered by the US to Israel in the midst of the Israel's war crimes in January. You can be sure that cargo included weapons fresh off the assembly line. The entire Francop arms shipment is nothing more than a propaganda stunt by Israel and the US to distract attention from the recent Goldstone report and the ongoing criminality and illegality of the state of Israel.

Will Pakistan be fragmented?

Sandwiched between United States, European, Israeli and Indian designs and Pakistani Quislings.

Will Pakistan, the only Muslim nuclear country, be fragmented as it was done in Iraq? This is the common fear among Pakistanis in view of the forces-United States, Europe and Israel, which turned Iraq and Afghanistan into slaughterhouses, are responsible for the deepening quagmire unfolding in Pakistan.

Pakistanis fear that the US led war on Islam and Muslims, under the guise of fighting war on terrorism, AlQaeda and Taleban, is extended to Pakistan .They are putting the Pakistani government of quislings against Pakistanis threatening the very survival of Pakistan. India remains an active partner in this US led conspiracy to destabilize yet another Muslim country.

President Barack Obama signed the 7.5 billion dollar aid package in mid October 2009 demanding Pakistan to launch military strike against its Pashtun tribes in wild South Waziristan. Pakistanis consider the numerous conditions linked to the aid package as insult to their country and many described the aid package as a Big Bribe that will go into the usual pockets.

Within days President Asif Zardari obediently unleashed a ferocious ground and air attack, using American-upgraded F-16s and helicopter gunships, indiscriminately killing, among the others, innocent civilians and destroying their shelters in the South Waziristan region amidst public outrage accusing the government of betraying Pakistan’s national interests at home, in Afghanistan and in Kashmir.

Hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women, children and the aged were made refugees overnight with no food, water or any other essential as it happened in Swat Valley in April this year.

Under this mercenary military offensive on Washington’s orders, the Pakistani government also permitted US to secretly create a mercenary army inside Pakistan pushing the military to the point of revolt.

United States, European and Israeli designs on Pakistan.

It appears that the American strategy in Pakistan is to Pakistani government against Pakistanis, provoke a civil war and plunge the country into chaos to neutralize its nuclear arsenal that has been US neoconservatives’ urgent priority. The Americans are not interested in Pakistan or its people. They only wanted collaborators and quislings and they found a willing partner in the Asif Zardari government.

Some accuse US of playing double game by financing the Taliban and demanding the government to fight the Taleban . Justifying this fear Pakistani daily “NEWS” stated that the US-led NATO forces vacated more than half a dozen security check posts, together with some posts close to North Waziristan, on the Afghan side of the border, just five days before the Pakistani military offensive began.

This facilitated Afghan Taliban to cross over to Pakistan and support fighters in striking back at the Pakistani security forces in the troubled tribal area-raising many eyebrows in the government and military circles. Shocked and intrigued by its timing the NWFP government and civilian and military officials alerted Islamabad.

Pakistanis consider America to be the greatest threat, worse than the arch rival India, to their sovereignty and independence .They are aware that already a map showing a truncated Pakistan has been in circulation and the ever growing collaborations among India, Afghanistan US, Europe and Israel.

Aggravating this fear, US plans to build the second largest embassy in the world in Islamabad, after its embassy in Baghdad, and reportedly demanding indirect veto power over promotions in Pakistan’s armed forces and intelligence agency-ISI. This crude attempt to exert more US influence over Pakistan’s 617,000-man military has enraged the armed forces and set off alarm bells.

Dealing with the US-European, Israeli and Indian conspiracy to destabilize Pakistan columnist Atif F Qureshi stated that;

* The ’surge’ in American troops in Afghanistan accompanied a ’surge’ in terrorism in Pakistan. While the Afghan Taliban never threatened Pakistani sovereignty, since 2001 thousands of innocents have been killed in a wave of suicide bombings in Pakistan that ‘coincidently’, began only after the US invasion and occupation of Afghanistan in 2001.

* The Afghan occupation is deliberately extended into Pakistan and both countries are treated as a single ‘battlefield’ called AfPak .This is laughable because one is war-torn and primitive while the other has a sophisticated civic society .The purpose is to enable American forces to strike into Pakistan.

* Wave after wave of callous and imprecise drone attacks murdering innocent civilians and riling up the Pakistani public who despair at their feckless government for being complicit in continual violations of the nation’s sovereignty and dignity.

* The never-ending American pressure for Pakistan to “DO MORE!” Though no nation has done or sacrificed more to combat terrorism in its own self-interest. The number of soldiers martyred, wealth spent and tears of widows and orphans shed remain testimony to the truth that those who claim that Pakistan is half-hearted in this effort are liars.

* The CIA-sponsored democratic farce whereby American engineered its puppets to seize the reigns in Pakistan’s recent elections. For those who still deny that the Pakistani elections were engineered, think for a moment how is it possible that the most corrupt and despised man in Pakistan’s entire history, Asif Zardari would become the president of Pakistan if the elections were truly and fairly democratic?

* Even though our ‘popularly elected’ politicians are in the pocket of the Americans, they remain frustrated that certain institutions in Pakistan remain out of their reach. The black propaganda targeting Pakistan’s patriotic armed forces, intelligence services and nuclear weapons arsenal reveals their obvious intent. Well aware that these are the only institutions that truly have Pakistan’s interests at heart, the public do not appreciate the Am-Brit campaign to malign them.

* The exposure of blatant double-standards is evident as America turns on the weapons tap for India, whom it wishes to turn into its 21st century ’slave soldier’ in order to counter China, while Pakistani officials are left dangling and must debase and humiliate themselves in order to ensure the delivery of a trifling number of F-16’s and helicopters to fight the same enemies that America is sponsoring.

* The CIA shield, protect and nurture anti-Pakistan insurgent groups on Pakistani soil. The so-called ‘Baluchistan Liberation Army and ‘Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan’ are only a few of many of these groups base their insidious operations from inside US occupied Afghanistan.

The pockets of resistance demonstrate the existence of an honorable people who are not prepared to compromise on their dignity. The recent polling is cause for great hope. It proves what was never in doubt – the Pakistani population will not stand for these US violations of Pakistan’s sovereignty and national interest for much longer.

We know that we fear Allah more than we fear America, but the nation must now realize another profound truth – salvation does not lie in continued cooperation and debasement in front of America, but only in faith in Allah and is His Messenger (SAW). It is time for this nation to throw off its shackles and re-declare its independence.

Recently, in the officer’s mess in Bajaur, the northern tribal region where the Pakistani Army is tied down fighting the militants, one officer told a visiting journalist that” Osama bin Laden does not exist”.

Explaining the American involvement in Swat Valley in last April columnist Bill Van Auken wrote in the website WSW on 16 September that;

There is mounting evidence that the Pentagon and the CIA are engaged in a war against the population of the region involving death squads, disappearances and torture. Swat Valley, near Afghanistan’s eastern border, provides a gruesome indication of the kind of war that the Pentagon and its local allies are waging.

The Pakistani army offensive in Swat Valley, carried out on the direct and highly public insistence of US envoy Richard Holbrooke, and senior American military officers, unleashed a humanitarian catastrophe. In what amounted to a massive exercise in collective punishment, many civilians were killed or wounded and some 2.5 million people were driven from their homes.

Now, the Pakistani military continues to occupy the area, carrying out a reign of terror in which individuals identified as opponents of the government and the US occupation across the border are being picked up and tortured to death.

New York Times stated on 15 September 2009 that with the military occupation of the Swat Valley “a new campaign of fear has taken hold, with scores, perhaps hundreds, of bodies dumped on the streets in what human rights advocates and local residents say is the work of the military.”

In addition to bearing marks of brutal torture, many of the bodies are discovered with their hands tied behind their backs and with a bullet in the back of the neck. In some cases, corpses have been beheaded. American officials have praised the Pakistani military for its campaign in the Swat Valley, with US Ambassador Anne Patterson visiting Mingora, Swat’s largest town, to congratulate the army.

Now the Pakistani government replicates this bloody campaign in South Waziristan. A similar offensive is already underway in the Khyber Agency, site of the Khyber Pass, a key route for supplies to the US occupation force in Afghanistan.UN officials report that 100,000 people have been displaced by the attack.

There is every reason to suspect that the wave of disappearances, torture and death squad assassinations in Pakistan are also “made in the USA”. US Special Forces “trainers” are operating on Pakistani soil, instructing Pakistani forces in the kind of tactics that yield the bound and battered bodies dumped in the streets of Swat.

Indian design to destabilize and, perhaps, further divide Pakistan

It is common knowledge that India wanted to destabilize and partition Pakistan from the day it came into being in 1947. India played a crucial role in breaking up Pakistan and creating Bangladesh in its eastern wing facilitated by the blunders of the Pakistani’s ruling elite.

India, hand in glove with American installed Hamid Karzai’s puppet regime, has 14 consulates in Afghanistan from which RAW operates and the US has turned a blind eye. Pakistan has stockpiles of evidence against Indian consulates in Afghanistan used to fund terrorism in Pakistan through Baitullah Mehsud’s TTP as well as Brahamdagh Bugti and his Baluch Liberation Army-BLA.

According to DAWN, a dossier containing proof of India’s involvement in “subversive activities” in Pakistan was handed over by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh during their meeting at Sharm el-Sheikh in July 2009.The dossier, broadly covering the Indian connection in terror financing in Pakistan, is also said to list the safe houses being run by RAW in Afghanistan where terrorists are trained and launched for missions in Pakistan.

The dossier also mentions an India-funded training camp in Kandahar where Baluch insurgents, particularly those from Bugti clan, were being trained and provided arms and ammunition for sabotage activities in the Pakistani province. Although the information given to India is being kept highly secret, broad outlines of the dossier available with Dawn reveal details of Indian contacts with those involved in attacks on the Sri Lankan cricket team and the Manawan police station,” the newspaper said.

“Operatives of RAW who remained in touch with the perpetrators of the attacks have been identified and proof of their interaction has been attached,” it added.

A description of Indian arms and explosives used in the attack on the Sri Lankan team has been made part of the dossier, besides which the names and particulars of the perpetrators, who illegally entered Pakistan from India and joined their accomplices who had reached Lahore from Waziristan, have been mentioned, the report said.

Here is what Christine Fair of RAND Corporation had to say about what the Indian consulates are up to in Afghanistan and Iran:

“I think it would be a mistake to completely disregard Pakistan’s regional perceptions due to doubts about Indian competence in executing covert operations. That misses the point entirely. In addition, I think it is unfair to dismiss the notion that Pakistan’s apprehensions about Afghanistan stem in part from its security competition with India. Having visited the Indian mission in Zahedan, Iran, I can assure you they are not issuing visas as the main activity! Moreover, India has run operations from its mission in Mazar (through which it supported the Northern Alliance) and is likely doing so from the other consulates it has reopened in Jalalabad and Qandahar along the border. Indian officials have told me privately that they are pumping money into Baluchistan. Kabul has encouraged India to engage in provocative activities such as using the Border Roads Organization to build sensitive parts of the Ring Road and use the Indo-Tibetan police force for security. It is also building schools on a sensitive part of the border in Kunar–across from Bajaur. Kabul’s motivations for encouraging these activities are as obvious as India’s interest in engaging in them. Even if by some act of miraculous diplomacy the territorial issues were to be resolved, Pakistan would remain an insecure state. Given the realities of the subcontinent (e.g., India’s rise and its more effective foreign relations with all of Pakistan’s near and far neighbors), these fears are bound to grow, not lessen. This suggests that without some means of compelling Pakistan to abandon its reliance upon militancy, it will become ever more interested in using it — and the militants will likely continue to proliferate beyond Pakistan’s control.”

Confirming the Indian support to TTP in Pakistan The Foreign Policy magazine said: “The Indians are up to their necks in supporting the Taliban against the Pakistani government in Afghanistan and Pakistan,” a former intelligence official who served in both countries said.

“The same anti-Pakistani forces in Afghanistan also shooting at American soldiers are getting support from India. India should close its diplomatic establishments in Afghanistan and get the Christ out of there.”

Afghan officials have also confirmed that India is using Afghanistan to stir trouble in Pakistan.“India is using Afghan soil to destabilize Pakistan and Afghan security agencies are unable to stop Indian intervention due to absence of centralized government mechanism”, said Afghan Government’s Advisor, Ehsanullah Aryanzai on sidelines of Pak-Afgan Parliamentary Jirga at a local hotel on April 2, 2009.

Pakistani Taleban using American, Nato, Indian and German weapons

An Islamabad datelined report by Akhtar Jamal Wednesday, 21 October 2009 stated that: Reports reaching here confirm that hundreds of militants from Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and other associated groups are equipped with most sophisticated American, Indian and German weapons.

According to a survey the weapons in the possession of these militants included U.S. made M249 automatic machine guns, U.S.-made Glock pistols, Indian hand guns, FN Browning GP35 9mmx19mm, Indian automatic machine pistols GLOCK 17 9mmx19mm, Indian machine guns Heckler & Koch MP5A3 9mmx19mm, Indian made Sterling L2A1 sub machine guns, Israeli licensed Indian made UZI 9mmx19mm sub machine guns and German Walther-P1 pistols.

During Swat operation, a number of the Indian army used Vickers-Berthier (VB) light machine guns were also recovered. The recoveries of Indian designed weapons were not astonishing for Pakistan. However, what was more surprising is that the U.S. and German weapons were recently introduced in the Waziristan area.

Ruling Elite

Pakistan’s ruling elite comprising the armed forces, bureaucracy, feudal landlords and capitalists never learnt any lesson. In fact, within a quarter century after Pakistan was created they created the conditions, exploited by India and other hostile forces, to create Bangladesh.

Columnist Ahmed Quraishi pointed out that “ fake democrats produce a fake democracy. This is what our westernized Pakistani elite and some of the self-styled ‘liberals’ in our media don’t understand. A Parliament filled with feudal lords who rape the women of the peasants on their lands and operate secret prisons, and then come to the Parliament in expensive shiny cars and jewelry thanks to political parties where another set of feudal run them as family grocery shops – this is no democracy.

Accusing main political parties and their leaderships of undermining the existence of Pakistan Dr. Hasan, co-founder of the Pakistan People’s Party with Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in 1967 said:” over the years, they have failed to understand that the state of Pakistan is unraveling. The administrative structure of the state is no longer capable of ensuring the performance of the basic duties of the state, mainly the protection of life, property and dignity of the people, dispensation of justice to all citizens as equals, semblance of equitability in the distribution of wealth and assuring a sense of belonging to the Balochs, Pashtuns, Sindhis and Punjabis that the Government at Islamabad is their Government.

The gulf between the rich and the poor has widened enormously. Ninety-eight per cent of the population is in a state of despair and frustration and has lost hope. The wealthy 2 per cent, armed with foreign passports and visas with huge wealth stashed abroad, are ready to leave the country any time.

The old grievances among the provinces of Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan and NWFP have reached all time high. Cooperation at the federal level has disappeared; complaints and prejudices have taken the place of patriotic fervor.

What had begun in the early years of Pakistan as grievances and complaints between East and West Pakistan, between the Bengalis and Punjabis, has now been replaced by tensions between Punjabis, Sindhis and Mohajirs and between independence-seeking Balochs and Pashtuns.The absence of cooperation between the provinces has snowballed, making Pakistan a fragile state.

It was under this unfortunate circumstance Asif Zardari was elected as President showing the depth to which the state assemblies had descended. Zardari is neither a politician nor a professional. He was known as the husband of assassinated prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, twice elected as prime minister and dismissed on both times on corruption charges. Zardari, better known as Mr. 10 Percent, has been accused of corruption, fraud, underworld links and even murder. Even after elected president, he was implicated in several scandals including an alleged submarine deal for Pakistan navy.

Eric S. Margolis, a contributing editor to the Toronto Sun chain of newspapers, said in an article that;

“Zardari has been dogged for decades by corruption charges. Washington seems unaware of the fury its crude, counter-productive policies have whipped up in Pakistan. The Obama administration listens to Washington-based pro-Israel neo-conservatives, military hawks, and “experts” who tell it what it wants to hear, not the facts. Pakistan’s military, the nation’s premier institution, is being pushed to the point of revolt. Against the backdrop of bombings and shootings, come rumors the heads of Pakistan’s armed forces and intelligence may be replaced. Pakistanis are calling for the removal of the Zardari regime’s strongman, Interior Minister Rehman Malik. The possibility of a military coup against the Zardari regime grows. However, Pakistan is dependent on US money, and fears India. Can its generals afford to break with patron Washington?

It was in this context one should view Zardari’s military onslaught on his own people to please President Obama who began drone attacks, almost immediately after he assumed office, violating Pakistan’s sovereignty, killing hundreds of innocent civilians in the footsteps of his predecessor George Bush.

In fact in a report presented to the UN General Assembly on Tuesday 26 October 2009 ,UN Special Rapporteur on Extrajudicial Executions Philip Alston described US drone strikes against suspected terrorists in Afghanistan and Pakistan may well violate international humanitarian law and international human rights law.

” My concern is that these attacks in Afghanistan and northwestern Pakistan have often resulted in civilian deaths and drawn bitter criticism from local populations. Since August 2008, around 70 strikes by unmanned aircraft have killed close to 600 people in northwestern Pakistan,” said Philip Alston.

Meanwhile after Pakistan launched its military strike there were several deadly bomb explosions including the one on the International Islamic University in Islamabad and the market place in Peshawar.

Taleban denied responsibility. However, analysts were quick to accuse the notorious US security firm Blackwater, known for its heinous crimes – rape, torture and bombings – in Iraq and Afghanistan, perhaps aimed at putting the government and the so-called Taleban against each other.

Erik Prince, the founder and the boss of Blackwater ,world’s most powerful mercenary army, accused in court papers of seeking to wipe out Muslims, views himself as a Christian crusader tasked with eliminating Muslims and the Islamic faith from the planet, according to a former employee. These Blackwater mercenaries are in Pakistan and the question is why did the Pakistani government allow them into the country?

In the midst, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arrived in Pakistan on a stormy three days visit on Wednesday 28 October 2009 to convey the Obama administration’s support, praise the Pakistani government for its military offensive, and tackle rising anti-US feelings among the Pakistani people.

She was greeted with a sophisticated bomb in busy Meena Bazar market in Peshawar killing more than 107 people- most of them innocent women and children. Taleban denied. So the question is who planted such a sophisticated bomb?

She faced sharp rebukes from Pakistani citizens and journalist on the third day of her visit when a woman who chastised the US stating, “Using aerial drones to target terrorists amounted to “executions without trial.” while another journalist said “we’ve been fighting your war”.

US appeared to be trying to push the government go beyond South Waziristan when she warned,” after South Waziristan, the Pakistanis will have to go on to root out other terrorist groups”. She never spoke a word about the devastating impact on the entire civilian population in South Waziristan forced to flee for their lives as villages and towns were literally being bombed into rubble.

The question is what next? Will Pakistan be next Iraq? How far the Pakistani government could go in killing its own people to please US?

It appears a poem by Khalil Gibran written in 1934, and now in circulation in e-mails, suit Pakistan’s current dilemma?

Pity the nation that raises not its voice
save when it walks in a funeral,
boasts not except among its ruins,
and will rebel not save when its neck is laid
between the sword and the block.

Pity the nation whose statesman is a fox,
whose philosopher is a juggler,
and whose art is the art of patching and mimicking.

Pity the nation that welcomes its new ruler with trumpeting,
and farewells him with hooting,
only to welcome another with trumpeting again.

Pity the nation whose sages are dumb with years
and whose strong men are yet in the cradle.
Pity the nation divided into fragments,
each fragment deeming itself a nation.

Israel's right or not to exist - The facts and truth

Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu
Prime Minister Netanyahu opened the Knesset's winter session by blasting the Goldstone Report that accuses Israel of committing war crimes and vowing that he would never allow Israelis be tried for them. But that was not his main message. It was an appeal, delivered I thought with a measure of desperation, to the "Palestinian leadership", presumably the leadership of "President" Abbas and his Fatah cronies, leaders who are regarded by very many if not most Palestinians as American-and-Israeli stooges at best and traitors at worst.

Netanyahu again called on this leadership to agree to recognise Israel as a Jewish state, saying this was, and remains, the key to peace. And he went on and on and on about it.
"For 62 years the Palestinians have been saying 'No' to the Jewish state. I am once again calling upon our Palestinian neighbours - say 'Yes' to the Jewish state. Without recognition of the Israel as the state of the Jews we shall not be able to attain peace... Such recognition is a step which requires courage and the Palestinian leadership should tell its people the truth - that without this recognition there can be no peace... There is no alternative to Palestinian leaders showing courage by recognising the Jewish state. This has been and remains the true key to peace."
As Ha'aretz noted in its report, Netanyahu's demand for Palestinian acceptance of Israel as a Jewish state is for him "a way on ensuring recognition of Israel's right to exist as opposed to merely recognising Israel" (my emphasis). This, as Ha'aretz added, is the recognition which Netanyahu and many other Israelis see as the real core of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

In the name of pragmatism, willingness to "merely to recognise" Israel - meaning to accept and live in peace with an Israel inside its pre-June '67 borders - has long been the formal Palestinian and all-Arab position. Why does it stop short of recognising Israel's "right to exist", and why, really, does it matter so much to Zionism that Palestinians recognise this right?

The answer is in the following.

According to history as written by the winner, Zionism, Israel was given its birth certificate and thus legitimacy by the UN Partition Resolution of 29 November 1947. This is propaganda nonsense.
  • In the first place the UN without the consent of the majority of the people of Palestine did not have the right to decide to partition Palestine or assign any part of its territory to a minority of alien immigrants in order for them to establish a state of their own.

  • Despite that, by the narrowest of margins, and only after a rigged vote, the UN General Assembly did pass a resolution to partition Palestine and create two states, one Arab, one Jewish, with Jerusalem not part of either. But the General Assembly resolution was only a proposal - meaning that it could have no effect, would not become policy, unless approved by the Security Council.

  • The truth is that the General Assembly's partition proposal never went to the Security Council for consideration. Why not? Because the U.S. knew that, if approved, it could only be implemented by force given the extent of Arab and other Muslim opposition to it; and President Truman was not prepared to use force to partition

  • So the partition plan was vitiated (became invalid) and the question of what the hell to do about Palestine - after Britain had made a mess of it and walked away, effectively surrendering to Zionist terrorism - was taken back to the General Assembly for more discussion. The option favoured and proposed by the U.S. was temporary UN Trusteeship. It was while the General Assembly was debating about what do, that Israel unilaterally declared itself to be in existence - actually in defiance of the will of the organised international community, including the Truman administration.
The truth of the time was that the Zionist state, which came into being mainly as a consequence of pre-planned ethnic cleansing, had no right to exist and, more to the point, could have no right to exist UNLESS ... Unless it was recognised and legitimized by those who were dispossessed of their land and their rights during the creation of the Zionist state. In international law only the Palestinians could give Israel the legitimacy it craved.

And that legitimacy was the only thing the Zionists could not and cannot take from the Palestinians by force.

No wonder Prime Minister Netanyahu is more than a little concerned on this account.

Israel's leaders have always known the truth summarised above. It's time for the rest of the world to know it.

Conservatives’ Blind Support of Our Troops and Their Unintended Defense of the Big Lie

from : http://www.infowars.com

Monday night I attended the “Stand Up America” rally in Houston hosted by the North Houston Tea Party Patriots. And while I feel the event was a resounding success, I couldn’t help but get a feeling of despair among 15,000 patriotic Americans who truly do want to see our country restored to the Constitutional Republic under which it was formed. These are all good, hard-working, salt-of-the-earth people who simply want government out of their lives as every American should. And I couldn’t agree more.

iraq

It’s not OK that we went into Iraq and killled over 1.3 million innocent civilians.

No, it’s not that feeling of hope and determination to see our country freed from the grips of corruption and the abject dismissal of the public will by our “elected” leaders which caused me such despair. It was the fact that while so many of these great Americans are so right on so many issues, they have for the most part, fallen hook, line and sinker for the Big Lie. These are the red-blooded Americans who have drunk the “Islamo-fascist” Kool-Aid served up by the main stream media, especially Fox News, and created by the Pentagon, NGOs, “think-tanks” and intelligence agencies of the world. This delusion is akin to the left-wing liberals and “progressives” who drank and still consume the “Change we can believe in” lie which swept Obama into office last year.

We were told more that 8 years ago that 9/11 changed everything. We have largely bought that lie, collectively, as a nation and because of this, let the powers that be run roughshod over our Constitution, our rule of law and our way of life all in the name of “security” and defending our homeland from the “evil doers” of the world. From this lie, has risen in this country a fervent patriotism and attitude that America can do no wrong in the world. We’re the “good guys” after all.

So while all these Tea Partiers, 9-12 activists, Red-Staters and conservative Republicans are right on so many issues such as ending the Federal Reserve system, abolishing the income tax, enforcing states rights, the global warming hoax, blocking Cap & Trade and the abysmal government “health-care” reform, and massively reducing the size and scope of our federal bureaucracy, they are dead wrong on their unflinching and unwitting support of “our troops.” They still believe that “you’re either with us, or you’re with the terrorists.” What a slick sales (con) job that line was…

Now don’t get me wrong here. As an honorably discharged Army veteran who served four years for his country, I know many people will get offended by that last statement, so let me explain further.

If you’ve ever read George Orwell’s, 1984, you know that, “Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia.” This seems eerily similar to the lie that we’ve been sold about the terrorist threat to our country. The lie that we need a “100-year war” because this enemy doesn’t abide by the “traditional” rules of war (whatever THAT means), and that we need to take the battle to them so we don’t end up with a “mushroom cloud” over here, is just that: a LIE. Perhaps a quick review of history will drive home this point:

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.

- Joseph Goebbels, Nazi Propaganda Minister

Why of course the people don’t want war. Why should some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally the common people don’t want war neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.

-Hermann Goering, President of the Nazi Reichstag

It is precisely this “Islamo-fascist/War on Terror” lie which is propagated by not only right-wing media personalities such as Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Bill O’Reilly among many others, but an increasing amount of left-wing media talking-heads like Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow as well now that “their guy” is in power. The war is suddenly OK. “Obama is just doing his best to clean up Bush’ mess. There’s only so much he can do, you know.” Yeah, right.

Well, my fellow patriotic Americans, it’s not OK.

It’s not OK that we went into Iraq, killled over 1.3 million innocent civilians, polluted their soil and water with depleted uranium munitions, displaced millions of other Iraqis, and have turned their country into a third-world cesspool so that we could control their oil. It’s not OK that we went into Afghanistan so that we could re-invigorate the opium trade (which had been all but decimated by the Taliban), keep the black market money flowing to fund the CIA, ISI, MI6, Mossad, etc., and ensure record crops of poppy fields while “our troops” stand guard. Pat Tillman was about to come home and expose it all until he was murdered by his own government.

So, my fellow Americans, please understand that when you blindly say you “support the troops” because that’s what good Americans do, you are only supporting the individual and NOT their command or their mission. For it has been proven that their mission is a lie, a fraud, unconstitutional and illegal. Support the individual and pray for their safety – not only from our “supposed” enemies who are merely defending their own homeland, sovereignty, property and natural resources, but from those in our own government who use them merely as instruments in their sick and twisted game of global empire and world domination. As Henry Kissinger, one of the long-time establishment’s “elite” minions and another questionable winner of the Nobel “Peace” Prize, so bluntly put it, “Military men are just dumb stupid animals to be used as pawns in foreign policy.” This is the same attitude of your leaders in DC.

Yes, it is sad that our troops have been reduced to the heavy hand enforcers of western “democracy” under a corrupt and tyrannical American government. Our troops are now nothing more than the strong arm of the global mafia: the cabal of central banks and greedy corporations of the world working in concert to rob the wealth of nations and impoverish and enslave the good people of the world. These criminals own the entire military industrial complex, to include the “troops” and these are the same people pushing hard for their “global government” which will be pushed further down the path to realization in Copenhagen, Denmark this December under the guise of once again, “saving humanity from itself.”

These so-called “elite” are the true destroyers of humanity and all that is good in the world and they have the nerve to use false patriotism and wrap themselves in the American flag as they send our sons and daughters, brothers and sisters and fathers and mothers off to fight and die in unjust wars in foreign lands. Not to protect and defend our Constitution, our ideals, our morals and our way of life, but to ensure the corporate takeover of the world; to enable the raping and pillaging of sovereign lands not for the gain of world peace or “democracy”, but of PROFIT and greater and greater power; and to lead humanity towards the neo-feudal system which has been their dream and ultimate end game for decades, if not centuries.

If nothing else in my life, I have learned one very important lesson: if you want to get to the truth about anything, you need to only figure out two things:

1. Who is benefitting from this?

and

2. Follow the money.

By simply taking the time and doing your own research, your due diligence and your duty not only as an American citizen, but as a member of all humanity, you will always come to the truth. As it was written in Matthew 7:7, “Ask, and it shall be given to you, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you.”

So I put this challenge out to ALL my fellow patriots, freedom-fighters, conservatives, libertarians and liberals alike: Seek the TRUTH and ye shall find.

Reject the corporate controlled main stream media, especially the NeoCon conservative talk show hosts around the country – and yes, this includes Glenn Beck, your so-called libertarian “hero.” I know this will come as a shock to most of you who hang on his every word, but he is not your friend. He is paid VERY WELL to lead you all to a false conclusion, especially on matters of the war on terror and the “Islamo-fascist” threat. He is a Judas goat. He was given a $50 million contract! You don’t think that someone, somewhere has an ulterior motive behind paying this former alcoholic that kind of money? All he does is help to propagate the Big Lie by giving you so much of the truth that you actually believe there is no way he can be wrong about anything else, right? Wrong.

How wrong? He was wrong about Ron Paul and popped up to demonize the movement last year just as Ron Paul was gaining his greatest momentum. He is wrong about 9/11, claims the official government report and Popular Mechanics article is the definitive truth and labels anyone calling for a real, comprehensive and scientific investigation of the greatest crime ever committed on American soil, a Kook. He was wrong about the Patriot Act, which he supported. He was wrong about he banker bailout, which he supported. He was wrong about the FEMA camps which has been thoroughly proven in the brilliant new documentary, Camp FEMA: American Lockdown.

He is basically wrong about the Big Issues; the important key points which will expose the true hijackers of our liberties and leads you astray down the path of “hope.” Where have we heard that word bandied about before? Hmmm? Hope is number 3 on his list of 12 values the 9-12 movement, which he created, abides by. Hope is a false and empty emotion which only leads to inaction. He’ll take your hope and lead you all right off the cliff. That’s exactly for what he’s paid the big bucks.

Always remember this. You could eat the most beautiful, juicy and delicious apple in the world, but if there is just one drop of cyanide in that apple, it will most likely kill you. That’s the essential purpose of the corporate-controlled media. They are not there to inform or educate, they are there to indoctrinate. They are there to perpetuate the false left/right paradigm so as to divide and conquer a nation. They are there to lie, spin, distort and stretch reality to fit a pre-determined agenda. The are controlled ultimately by the same people, corporations, and monied interests who control the Federal Reserve banking system which is destroying our country by design. It’s all about control and manipulation of our minds, our thoughts, our beliefs, our attitudes, and thus, our actions.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of the conservative minds in this country have fallen victim to the manipulation of the Big Lie, which is the “War on Terror.” It’s no more than the modern incarnation of the “War on Poverty”, the “War on Cancer”, or the “War on Drugs.” All of which, I might add, have been colossal failures while lining the pockets and increasing the power of the authoritarian establishment which has benefitted from them all.

Ultimately, all the belief in the Big Lie will do is cripple the patriot movement as the outrage against the Democrats and the damage they’ve done to our nation will increase support for the Republicans. And the fake, NeoCon “conservatives” will once again be swept into power. All the while, the hundred-year war rages on as one puppet of the establishment replaces another. This is the purpose and mission of Glenn Beck. He is paid controlled opposition designed to further the establishments goals – not to re-ignite the spirit of the American freedom fighter. Quit buying into the Big Lie. You’re smarter than that.

And ask yourself the next time you blindly cheer in support of our troops, “who is benefitting from this?” Is it the country and citizens of Iraq or Afghanistan? Is it the believers of the essentially peaceful Islamic religion? Is it our troops coming home maimed, traumatized, poisoned and in body bags? Or is it Halliburton, KBR, BP Amoco, Exxon Mobil, CACI, Dyncorp, Blackwater, L3 Communications, Raytheon, Titan , GE, McDonnell Douglas and so on and so on….? Is it our federal government who has since 2001, gutted our Constitution in a power grab never before seen in American history? Who has benefitted? Follow the money. Seek the TRUTH. And if you really do support the troops, fight, with everything you have to end these illegal wars of aggression and empire-building so that we can bring them home to do what they’re sworn to do: protect our borders from foreign invasion, and protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America!

Postscript:

I am not a writer. I am an American. I am simply someone who is fed up with the establishment , the “elite” and the way things are not only in this country, but around the world. I am also fed up with the apathy, ignorance and arrogance of much of the American populace. I sat down today to scribble down some thoughts and the words just flowed out of my mind. You see, I know and have come to the understanding that if ONLY the people would wake up to the truth and realize the lies we’ve been told by those in power for so long, that we could peacefully take our world back from the darkness which has descended over it. Creating AWARENESS is the key and I’m just merely trying to do my little part.

I woke up over 2 ½ years ago and my journey down the rabbit hole has been enlightening, educational, sometimes frightening and time-consuming, to say the least. I have done thousands of hours of research, to include reading books about TRUE history, reading hundreds of articles from alternative media uncontrolled by corporations, and watched hundreds of documentaries; some better than others and some, a complete waste of time.

I recently moved to Texas from Chicago to be closer to family and because it is increasingly becoming a God-forsaken police-state hell hole of a city in which to live. I was even on one occasion pulled over, had guns drawn on me, cuffed, frisked, searched and had my rights completely violated for simply being white in a black neighborhood at night. Ironically, I was simply out of filtered water and on the way to the store get some more because I refuse to ingest their “healthy” fluoride. I attended the Tea Party last night to network and get involved with the local patriot organizations so I can do what I can to help restore our Republic, but I am still amazed at how many people are so snowed by the right-wing media, Fox News and especially Glenn Beck. I and many others like me, (I guess those with a lot of discernment) can see right through the guy’s little bait-and-switch, snake-oil salesman act.

I decided to sit down and write out my thoughts because of the adoration I saw last night for Glenn and the apparent NeoCon conservatives running the show. I hear them on the radio and just want to scream as they perpetuate the lies over and over. I felt I needed to reach out to these people because they are passionate in their beliefs and are working so hard to do what they can to help out our country. But they’re wrong on this one issue and it’s a HUGE issue. We can get this country back and return to a peaceful and prosperous nation once these criminals are removed from power. But that can’t happen as long as the conservatives think the only problem is the liberals and the socialists. It’s much, much bigger than that and we all need to understand and discover the Big Lie if we’re to move forward in the right direction.

We need to be told the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help us, God. Replacing Democrats with war-mongering NeoCons simply because they’re Republican, is NOT the answer to what ails our country. The left/right paradigm is an integral part of the Big Lie. We need to realize that and shatter these false beliefs once and for all. What we need are candidates and politicians, be they Libertarian, Green, Democrat, Republican, liberal, conservative or whatever label they want to put on themselves, who have SWORN to SUPPORT and DEFEND The Constitution of the United States of America. Nothing more, nothing less. They need to be vetted to make sure they are for real. The only thing which will save this country at this point is the TRUTH, justice and Constitutional candidates sworn to uphold the law of our land. Ron Paul, Marcy Kaptur, Chuck Baldwin, Charles Key, Alan Grayson, Dennis Kucinich, and Brad Sherman, are all stellar examples of the type of person we should all be supporting for public office. Just because they have an “R” next to their name, doesn’t mean they’re going to be good for our country and uphold true, conservative values. We’ve been lied to by many Republicans in the past and we’ll be lied to by more in the future.

So you may be asking yourself, how do I get the truth and how do I know it’s the truth? If the main stream media is attacking it, demonizing it, marginalizing it, calling it kooky or a conspiracy theory, you can probably be sure you’re on the right path. Use your common sense and your discernment. Follow the money and figure out who benefits. To help you on your journey, I have created a list of documentaries, websites, writers and books which are all excellent sources of truth in our world. It is what helped me to wake up to all of this and should be mandatory education for all Americans.

After all, freedom isn’t free and we need to spend the time necessary to educate ourselves about our TRUE history. We have become the most over-entertained and under-educated nation in the world and we are about to reap what we’ve sown for the past 100 years. Learn this information and share it with others in your circle of influence. This is how we get our country back. The Soviet Union was taken down by fax machines. We can restore our Republic with DVDs, flyers, the internet and by simply talking to our neighbors. It’s a simple equation, people. Do the work and reap the rewards. Ignore the obvious, continue the intellectual laziness, get sucked into the Matrix of pop culture, mainstream media and propaganda, believe the lies and suffer the consequences. The choice is ours. The time is now. The rEVOLution is dependent upon us all.

Thank you for reading.

Sources of TRUTH (By Topic):

Troops, War and the Global Establishment who benefit from their exploitation:

Documentaries

So you say you support the troops? These two must -see documentaries will expose you to the devastating truth about what you’re really supporting:

Beyond Treason - by William Lewis (2005) Exposes the probable causes of Gulf War Syndrome which has adversely affected over 250,000 troops who served in the first Gulf War. Also reveals secret tests done on our military “guinea pigs” and the cover-ups which followed. Allows you to see what your government REALLY thinks about the “troops.”

Iraq For Sale: The War Profiteers - by Robert Greenwald (2006) Exposes the true purpose of war and how American taxpayers are being fleeced to the tune of Billions while back-room deals with political cronies line the pockets of military industrial complex and the elected and un-elected officials allow them to do so. Shows how money and greed dominate the business of war while our troops suffer the consequences over and over. Mind-blowing information you’ll never hear on the nightly news.

For further research on the topic of war and how our troops are used as mere pawns by the establishment “elite”, I highly recommend War Made Easy: How President and Pundits Keep Spinning Us To Death and Terrorstorm: A History of Government Sponsored Terrorismwhich is the definitive historical documentary of how all wars are and have been created through staged events and manipulation of public fear by the ruling class of the time. House Resolution Designates Venezuela a " State Sponsor of Terrorism"

StumbleUpon Submit

At a time of growing US poverty, hunger, homelessness, and despair, imperial wars without end, and the Obama administration even worse than its predecessor, Venezuela:

-- is a model participatory democracy;

-- holds free, fair and open elections;

-- respects the rule of law, civil liberties, and human rights;

-- doesn't intimidate its neighbors;

-- uses its resources responsibly for the people;

-- provides essential social services for the needy;

-- champions judicial fairness and the rule of law;

-- has a model free and open media;

-- wages no foreign wars;

-- doesn't torture or imprison its adversaries;

-- conducts effective operations to halt illicit drugs trafficking;

-- promotes global peace, solidarity, equality and social justice; and

-- its only threat is its good example that shames its northern neighbor.

In contrast, America:

-- is a serial belligerent and world class bully;

-- spends more on militarism than the rest of the world combined at a time when it has no enemies;

-- backs the world's worst dictators and fake democrats like Colombia's Alvaro Uribe, a man closely linked to the country's paramilitary death squads and drug cartels; and

-- through the CIA, has actively engaged in global drugs trafficking since the agency's 1947 founding; it profits hugely from its dealings with local traffickers; so do major US banks and other powerful business and financial interests.

In addition, Washington

-- serves the rich at the public's expense;

-- tolerates corruption at the highest levels;

-- subverts democracy through electoral fraud;

-- has a closed, corrupted dominant media system serving the powerful, not the greater good;

-- incarcerates hundreds of political prisoners;

-- uses torture as official policy; and

-- wages state-sponsored terrorism and global wars.

So consider the hypocrisy. On October 27, Rep. Connie Mack (Rep. FL) introduced HR 872: Calling for the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to be designated a state sponsor of terrorism for its support of Iran, Hezbollah, and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC-EP). Its sole co-sponsor was Rep. Ron Klein (Dem. FL).

Connie Mack is a notorious right-wing ideologue. In an accompanying statement he said:

"The evidence linking Venezuela's Hugo Chavez to the FARC and Hezbollah - two of the most dangerous terrorist organizations, responsible for many bombings, kidnappings, killings and drug trafficking - is overwhelming. Naming Venezuela as a state sponsor of terrorism will strengthen the stability of the region. The Administration must not turn a blind eye to Chavez's dangerous aggression and must add Venezuela to the state sponsors of terrorism with delay."

Fact Check

Iran hasn't attacked a neighbor in over 200 years, but has defended itself vigorously when attacked, including during the 1980-88 war with Iraq, a conflict the Carter administration triggered in an attempt to destabilize and weaken both countries.

Noted Latin America expert James Petras calls the FARC-EP the "longest standing, largest peasant-based guerrilla movement in the world (that was) founded in 1964 by two dozen peasant activists (to defend) autonomous rural communities from" Colombian military and paramilitary violence.

Hezbollah is no terrorist organization. It's a legitimate resistance group, and, as a political party, is part of Lebanon's elected government. In addition, it's well respected for providing essential social services, including a network of schools, medical clinics, and organized relief after Israeli South Lebanon bombings in 1993, 1996, and 2006.

Also, according to Aijaz Ahmad writing in the Indian magazine, Frontline:

It's "the only entity which has, through armed resistance, forced the Israelis to relinquish any territory that the Jewish state has ever captured" through decades of regional belligerency.

Mack Attack Round Two

HR 872 is round two for Mack. On March 13, 2008, he and Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R. FL) introduced HR 1049 (with eight co-sponsors) "calling for the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to be designated a state sponsor of terrorism (and) condemn(ing) the Venezuelan government for it support of terrorist organizations," at that time referring to the FARC-EP. The resolution died in the Foreign Affairs Committee.

Referred there as well, the new one won't fare better. Otherwise the implications are serious as state terrorism designation means halting normal relations, prohibiting US companies from exporting and operating there, and denying America vitally needed Venezuelan oil. It's the nation's fourth largest supplier after Canada, Saudi Arabia and Mexico.

In its "State Sponsors of Terrorism Overview," the US States Department imposes the following sanctions:

1. "A ban on arms-related exports and sales.

2. Controls over exports of dual-use items (that may be anything, including oil), requiring 30-day Congressional notification for goods and services that could significantly enhance the terrorist-list country's military capability or ability to support terrorism.

3. Prohibitions on economic assistance.

4. Imposition of miscellaneous financial and other restrictions, including:

-- Requiring the United States to oppose loans by the World Bank and other international financial institutions;

-- Lifting diplomatic immunity to allow families of terrorist victims to file civil lawsuits in US courts;

-- Denying companies and individuals tax credits for income earned in terrorist-listed countries;

-- Denial of duty-free treatment of goods exported to the United States;

-- Authority to prohibit any US citizen from engaging in a financial transaction with a terrorist-list government without a Treasury Department license; and

-- Prohibition of Defense Department contracts above $100,000 with companies controlled by terrorist-list states."

In other words, it halts virtually all normal diplomatic, political and business dealings with "terrorist-list states."

Corporate interests won't tolerate it at a time every business opportunity counts. Nor will Venezuela with strong regional support given the political, security and economic implications.

As long as Bolivarianism flourishes, expect new efforts to vilify, isolate, destabilize, and topple Chavez, no more likely to succeed than others, and here's why. According to the Venezuelan Institute of Data Analysis (IVAD), his latest approval rating tops 62% after nearly 11 years as president. Governing responsibly keeps him popular compared to Barack Obama's noticeable slippage from his post inaugural high.

According to the November 3 Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll, only 28% of voters strongly approve of his performance, 41% strongly disapprove, 46% somewhat approve, 52% somewhat disapprove, and for Congress it's far worse - 15% say its doing a good or excellent job compared to 53% ranking it poor.

Given Washington's inattention to essential needs, watch for even greater erosion compared to Chavez remaining popular by a two-to-one margin - a profile befitting a democrat, not a state-sponsor of terrorism.

President Obama's Credibility on the Line in Honduras

from : http://www.huffingtonpost.com

Last Friday an agreement was reached between the de facto regime in Honduras-- which took power in a military coup on June 28th -- and the elected president Mel Zelaya, for the restoration of democracy there.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in announcing what she called an "historic agreement, said: "I cannot think of another example of a country in Latin America that...overcame such a crisis through negotiation and dialogue." Hopefully this will turn out to be true.

But the ink was barely dry on the accord when leaders of the coup regime indicated that they had no intention of honoring it. Some of them clearly saw the agreement as just another delaying tactic. They have talked of postponing congressional approval of the accord until after the November 29th elections, or even voting not to restore Zelaya.

If the Honduran congress delays or rejects the restoration of Zelaya, they will be violating the clear intent of the accord. The agreement states: "The decision the National Congress adopts should establish a basis for achieving the social peace, political tranquility and democratic governability the society requires and the country needs." This and other language makes it clear that the negotiators - who have the ability to deliver the votes in Congress - agreed on Zelaya's restoration.

Furthermore, justice delayed here is justice denied: two-thirds of the legally allowed campaign period has already lapsed, under conditions of dictatorship that made free election campaigning impossible.

The Obama administration has itself been divided on what to do about the military overthrow of democracy in Honduras. Hence the mixed signals and vacillation from the very beginning, when the first statement from the White House failed to even condemn the coup.

Those in the Administration who think they can now wash their hands of the accord, and let the coup leaders turn their back on it had better think twice. The Obama team has embarrassed itself enough by having to be pressured -- by the rest of the hemisphere -- to tell the coup government that Washington would not recognize the November 29 elections without prior restoration of Zelaya. Just a few weeks earlier, the Obama administration had blocked the Organization of American States from passing a resolution to this effect.

But now Washington's credibility is really on the line: the Obama team brokered this accord, and got a commitment from the coup leaders. If they go back on it, how much with the Obama administration's word be worth on anything else? Everyone knows that Washington has the ability to force the coup regime to comply: there are billions of dollars of its assets in the U.S. that could be frozen or seized; seventy percent of the country's exports go to the U.S. The coup regime has no international legitimacy and no standing to challenge the United States under international treaties, for any economic sanctions that might be invoked.

The Obama administration never used the effective tools at its disposal. Instead it dithered for months, finally cutting off a fraction of its aid to the coup government and revoking some visas. The administration refused to even declare that a military coup had taken place, since this would have required more cuts in foreign assistance. Most tellingly, Washington refused to denounce the massive human rights violations committed by the dictatorship. These included police beatings, illegal detention of thousands, closing of independent radio and television, suspension of civil rights and even some political murders. The crimes were denounced by all major human rights organizations, inside and outside of Honduras -- and many governments - but the Obama administration maintained a deafening silence.

Based on the recent past, the coup leaders - one of whom was forced to resign his post as foreign minister after calling President Obama "a plantation Negro" and other racial epithets - might think they can safely ignore the agreement. But the rest of the hemisphere, and the Honduran people - who have courageously resisted the coup from day one - will not let them get away with it. No one will recognize the November elections if Zelaya is not restored promptly.

Last night U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Thomas Shannon told CNN en Espanol that the United States plans to recognize the November 29 elections whether or not President Zelaya is restored. This would definitely put Washington on a collision course with the rest of the hemisphere, including Brazil. Furthermore, according to diplomats close to the negotiations, both Shannon and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had given assurances that the October 30th accord would bring Zelaya back to the presidency.

Shannon's statement to CNN prompted a letter from President Zelaya to Hillary Clinton, asking whether the U.S. government had changed its position on the coup d'etat in Honduras.

President Obama now has a choice: he can force the coup regime to honor the accord, or lose further credibility among governments in the hemisphere and the world.

Interior Ministry Covering Up For US Mercenaries And Terrorists

from : signs of the times (int.)

Pak Alert

In 2005, Iraqi Police arrested and locked up two British operatives in Basra who were dressed in local Arab gear, shooting at innocent civilians in a busy market with automatic rifles and driving a vehicle laden with explosives, intended to go off in the middle of the busy market. British tanks tore into the prison and rescued both these men. In Pakistan, it seems all the Americans need to do is make a call to the Interior Ministry and have their terrorists released.

There have been several incidents during the last few months of foreigners carrying illegal arms in the federal capital. Some foreigners were found not only carrying illegal weapons, but also threatening, harassing and frightening the public in Islamabad. The law enforcement agencies have been particularly efficient in tightening security measures around the city as a response to citizen complaints.

In the most recent incident, four American nationals who were disguised as Afghans were caught with illegal arms on Tuesday in a posh sector of Islamabad inhabited mostly by senior Pakistani diplomats and politicians. The police personnel intercepted two suspicious vehicles and recovered illegal weapons from in posession of the Americans in both vehicles.

The Americans were also seen taking photographs of buildings around the area while some videos of sensitive locations in Islamabad were also found with them. During the preliminary investigation, the Americans falsely claimed that they were US Marines - and were taken to the police station for further investigation. After the personal intervention of those high up in the Interior Ministry, the Americans were allowed to leave without being charged. Some sources disclose that the US Embassy officials intervened in the matter by contacting higher-ups of Pakistan's Interior Ministry and had the culprits freed.

The Interior ministry, when approached for comments on this story, affirmed once again that there existed no law in Pakistan that might allow any foreigner or diplomat, including Americans, to move on busy roads of federal capital with illegal arms.

It was not the first incident of such kind in the Federal Capital where foreigners were picked up by police for posession of illegal arms. It has become almost a norm that police intercepts foreigners violating national laws including posession of illegal weapons, and are freed after Pakistani "influentials" come to their rescue.

Some days ago, police officials deployed at a security check post in Islamabad stopped two Dutch personnel and recovered sophisticated weapons including hand grenades, bombs, and sophisticated guns from their custody. The police lodged a formal complaint, however, no action was initiated on directions of Interior Ministry and the matter was hushed.

William Ven and Tomas Smith were the two Dutch men caught roaming around with sophisticated weapons, bombs and hand grenades in a blue BMW, registered number of which was IDL 4191. Sources on the condition of anonymity reveal that both officials were working for the notorious Blackwater Co. (Xe) and were almost certainly out on an assassination mission, target of which is still unknown. Sunny Christopher, a U.S. embassy official who was following the blue BMW was out there to provide cover.

Before the security agencies could confirm their connection with Blackwater (Xe), the interior ministry again came to their rescue and saying that the men were 'Dutch embassy officials' - which appears to be an attempt to cover up Blackwater's questionable activities on the media. During the past few weeks the local media had been particularly vocal on the Blackwater issue and this incident would have further fueled calls for action against the various US-linked private security companies operating on Pakistan soil involved in suspicious activities. What's not so surprising is that no probe was done with the alleged 'Dutch diplomats' and no explanation or apology was offered.

Both Dutch men were released a while later after the U.S. embassy intervened, and were put on the next flight out of Islamabad immediately.

What is particularly alarming is that such incidents continue to occur in the nation's very own capital city while government in their attempts to temporarily 'settle' the matter issues hollow statements. Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik, has stated on many occasions that no foreigner would be allowed to carry illegal arms. "The violators would be dealt with an iron hand," he adds.

However the Americans have relentlessly continued to violate the the law of the land and no iron hand strikes - and in fact the violators are given a safe passage each time.
